­¡Pura Vida! CINDI reaches Costa Rica for the Waterbird Society Conference

In January 2025, CINDI PI Dr. Dale Gawlik and multiple other CINDI staff and students had the opportunity to travel to Heredia, Costa Rica for the joint scientific conference of The Waterbird Society and the Pacific Seabird Group. Six CINDI-related talks and one poster were well-attended at the conference and personnel were able to introduce the CINDI project to scientists and stakeholders from across the globe. Dr. Dale Gawlik and former graduate student Jacquie Evans gave the keynote talk for the conference and were awarded the Publication Award for Outstanding Contribution to Conservation by The Waterbird Society.
